Huangmanzhai Waterfall Cluster
Huangmanzhai Waterfall Cluster is located in Cukeng Village, Jingxiyuan Town, Jiexi County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, Guangdong Provincial Geopark, and National Leisure Tourism Demonstration Unit. The waterfall cluster has a total drop of over 300 meters, consisting of Feihong Waterfall, Yinhe Kong Waterfall, Luo Jiutian Waterfall, Sandie Valley Waterfall, and Doufang Kong Waterfall. The canyon features rugged boulders and dense vegetation, forming a natural ecological landscape, making it an excellent destination to experience Chaoshan natural scenery and Hakka folk culture.

Huangmanzhai Waterfall Cluster Tourist Area covers over 5,000 mu and is located in the deep mountain canyon of Cukeng Village, Jingxiyuan Town, Jiexi County. The waterfall cluster is divided into five levels from top to bottom: Feihong Waterfall, Yinhe Kong Waterfall, Luo Jiutian Waterfall, Sandie Valley Waterfall, and Doufang Kong Waterfall, with a total drop of over 300 meters. The canyon features rugged boulders and lush vegetation year-round, with an average annual temperature of 21.5°C, forming a natural ecological landscape. The scenic area is not only famous for its waterfall cluster but also boasts ancient dwellings in Cukeng Village blending Chaoshan and Hakka architectural styles, Huangmanzhai Folk Village, a geopark museum, and tea garden viewing areas, offering visitors rich natural and cultural experiences. Since its opening in 2006, the area has driven local rural tourism development and increased villagers' income through infrastructure upgrades and deep-tour project development. Huangmanzhai Waterfall Cluster is one of the most representative natural landscapes in Jiexi County and even the Chaoshan region. Feihong Waterfall, located at the top of the cluster, is 82 meters wide with a drop of 56 meters. Under specific sunlight conditions, it can form a rainbow, making it an iconic attraction of the scenic area. Yinhe Kong Waterfall has an extremely high concentration of negative oxygen ions, serving as a natural oxygen bar, with an observation deck for visitors to rest. Luo Jiutian Waterfall has a drop of over 120 meters, the highest among the five levels, with thunderous water sounds and spectacular momentum. Sandie Valley Waterfall consists of three small waterfalls connected at staggered angles, while Doufang Kong Waterfall looks from the side like ten thousand pearls pouring into a bucket, eventually merging into the green Shouxing Pool. Huangmanzhai Folk Village showcases local semi-mountain Hakka folk culture, including a farm culture area, farm vacation area, tea garden viewing area, farmhouse comprehensive service area, and visitor center, along with a geopark museum introducing geological landscapes, human history, agricultural ecology, and folk customs. Special local cuisine includes small mountain stream fish, pork with pickled vegetables, Hakka braised pork trotters, and bitter bamboo shoot with pickled vegetable pork pot. In recent years, the scenic area has also hosted events like the Water Dance Carnival to enrich visitor experiences.

- Transportation:Self-driving from Jieyang city center takes about 30–45 minutes to reach Huangmanzhai Waterfall Cluster; the scenic area is in the mountains with no direct public transport, so self-driving is the best option.
- Opening Hours:Daily 08:30–17:00 (last entry at 16:40).
- Tickets:Ticket system applies, with various types such as adult and children's tickets; valid ID required for free or half-price policies.
- Best Season to Visit:Spring and autumn have pleasant weather; the rainy season offers abundant water flow and spectacular waterfall views.
- Travel Tips:Be cautious during rainy season, wear comfortable sports shoes, bring rain gear, waterproof clothing, and mosquito repellent; the area involves walking and stairs; smoking and carrying fire sources are prohibited; some water areas are only for people over 1.2 meters tall.
